Any adult (18 years and older) wanting to volunteer with children of Redemptorist St. Gerard must fulfill the following requirements as mandated by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Diocese of Baton Rouge.
Completing the Volunteer Certification Process:
- Complete an EAPPS Application
- Read and sign the Diocese Code of Ethics
- Complete the Diocese Training: Serving Vulnerable Populations
- State Police Background Check
The background check and fingerprinting are to be performed at the LA State Police Headquarters on Independence Blvd. The fee for a background check is $39.25 and the fee for fingerprinting is $10.00. The total is $52.24 including a convenience fee.
